Camping and Accommodation
Guests of the Shining festival will be able to lodge at a beautiful camping site, surrounded by nature as far as the eye can see. Please note that camping during the Shining Festival is for holders of a weekend-ticket only. The camping site will open at 10 am on Friday, 22nd of June, and close on Sunday, 24th of June, at 8 pm.
While the camping ground is just across the road, the parking lot is located a few kilometres off the actual festival vicinity; a shuttle-service running every 10 Minutes all weekend long will connect the two during the festival. There will be a separate parking area for camper vans and caravans - please follow the signs.
The camping site is equipped with decent showers and toilets, but no electricity or water connection, which also applies to the vans’ and caravans’ area. On the festival vicinity though we will install several free water supply points, as well as electricity supply points at which you can recharge mobile phone batteries etc.
Please keep the camping area and the festival site clean: we won’t put up an extra charge for litter and provide you with free garbage bags at the entrance of the camping site. Bringing any sorts of animals, including dogs, is generally forbidden. For safety reasons open fire and gas cookers, as well as glass containers and bottles are not permitted on the whole festival site – so please bring your food and drinks in plastic containers, PET or cans.
On the camping site we will set up a centrally located barbeque area where grilling will be free of charge. At a nearby butchery you’ll be able to buy low-priced meats and sausages, spices etc, in case you don’t want to bring your own groceries.
Open Decks @ Shining
"You are the DJ" – at the Shining festival we have another special treat for you: every guest is invited to show off their DJ skills at the "Open Decks"
floor on the campsite.
We have 40 Slots to give away, each one lasting an hour, starting on Friday, 22nd june, at 8 pm and ending on sunday, the 24th at midday.
